Copper River Nouveau, an event that has become renowned for its decadent food, fun entertainment and festive atmosphere, is the main fundraising event for the Prince William Sound Science Center. It is attended by people from Cordova and throughout the State of Alaska and abroad. Held annually at one of Cordova’s best waterfront banquet venues, we bring in a top chef from Anchorage, who designs a gourmet dinner menu, featuring locally caught, Copper River salmon. Each course is carefully matched with a delightful wine selection.

Aside from the delicious dinner, other major components of this event are the auction and entertainment, often one in the same. During the appetizer segment, guests mix and mingle while participating in a silent auction. A live auction later takes place, often starting between the entrée and dessert courses. Entertainment is provided by local talent, the lively auctioneers and emcee. Auction items can be previewed during a Gallery Night held the evening before the Copper River Nouveau dinner.

This event is a fun-filled opportunity to support the Prince William Sound Science Center. Proceeds benefit the education programs and other general programs. The dinner event tickets are $125 per person. Advance tickets are necessary.
